Parke Vermillion Adult Ed Policy Cancellation of Classes due to Weather
To streamline communication about cancellation of classes due to weather conditions, please note the following:
If classes are dismissed early or cancelled due to weather conditions in the School Corporation where your class is held, then that classroom will be closed for that day. This does not include a 2-hour delay.
If weather conditions worsen throughout the day when classrooms have been open, then classes may be cancelled, and students will be notified via texts from Connectable (which does not allow a response) or from your classroom teacher.
You can check the status of School Corporations Closings on WTHI (Channel 10) or WTWO (Channel 2) websites or on the particular Corporation’s website.
Please look carefully to determine which School Corporation your particular classroom is located in:
All Clinton Classrooms and Welding Classes – South Vermillion
Eugene Classroom – North Vermillion
Rockville Classroom, Testing Center, PVAE Office, CCMA and ASE Classes – North Central Parke
If weather conditions do not require class to be cancelled, but students are concerned about safety while traveling to class, discuss the situation ASAP with the appropriate staff member.
Policy updated 1.19.24
If you have questions, you can text or email your teacher, test proctor, program director, etc.
Class attendance is important – and we make great efforts to ensure your time is well spent with us. Ultimately, though, we are most concerned about safety of our students and staff.
